Like all stories in the media the Ukraine conflict is one of those that has been pushed to the back of the public consciousness, despite it continuing.
Since Russia launched a full-scale military invasion into Ukraine on February 24, 2022, fighting has caused over two hundred civilian deaths and pushed millions of Ukrainians to flee to neighbouring countries. The resolve of the Ukrainian people has been something to behold.
We have also seen many governments across the world institute sanctions against Russia, whilst many in Europe have opened their homes to refugees from the country.
We, through LUX aimed to offer an opportunity to continue to make the world aware of this conflict and social injustice through the power of illustration. While we did not have sufficient content to warrant a full publication, there were some really lovely contributions that capture the impact of conflict, but communicate hope and support for those being affected. Well done to all our contributors!
